Wrongful Termination

You may have a claim for wrongful termination if you have been terminated under the following:

1. Because of your race, religion, gender or disability (these are referred to as "suspect classifications"), or

2. You have made a complaint to your employer about their conduct that violates a state law, and in response to your complaint you were fired.

This is also called a "whistleblower" action, or

3. You have a contract with your employer which states that you can only be fired for "good cause" …. For example, because of your misconduct, very poor work performance or insubordination.
